Spoke to the Ind Dept of Finance today and I was told that they spoke to National Credit Adjusters and they told him that they were not aware that they bought illegal loan debts and they were going to sell them back. FYI

I'm laughing here! NCA is so retarded. They "bought" one of my loans. I told them "sorry you purchased an illegal debt". Never heard another word from the idiots. They weren't "aware" that they were purchasing illegal debts? Why do I not believe them? LOL!

tweety, I haven't heard from them either since I sent them a debt validation letter. Not a word. They may come out of the woodwork one day 10 years from now (wouldn't surprise me one bit) and try to collect their illegal debt. Right now I'm just pretending they don't even exist!

Their attempt at validating the debt, tweety, would be a friggin joke. They know that. I mean, validate an illegal loan? Hello! These guys are just hoping for people to not have the knowledge and send them all the money they demand. They can sit on my "junk debt purchase" for I care. But, do this... just keep an eye on your credit report, okay? Don't let these suckers report anything on you. If they do, go at them with teeth and claws!

They don't have any of my internet loans, but they do have 2 legal storefront loans that we had. I know many of you have had a bad experience with them. But I have to say that dealing with them (for me anyway) has been pretty good. These were pretty high loans we had that got turned over to them. And they are letting me pay a very small amount per month. I did tell them that I know that they buy internet payday loans and that if they happen to get one of mine that I will not pay on it because my state is dealing with most of them. So she said she would keep me informed if they got one on me or hubby. Maybe I got lucky and got one of the nice ones

It depends on if it was a storefront loan or an internet loan. If it was an internet loan please list a few things for us and we can tell you if they can collect on it or not.

What state are you in?
Who the loan is through?
How much you borrowed and how much you paid back?

My payday loan that they are collecting on is a storefront and if I do not pay, they can take me to court.

They have put this on my credit report! An illegal loan from MTE. I have disputed the entry, we will see how that goes. If it stays on there I will be going after them very swiftly. I would assume that the Fair Credit Reporting Act does not allow CA to put up debts that are not even legally collectable.
