It has been 2 months since i defaulted on my online pdl's. I sent out the initial letter that you all suggested. i received one response from loan shop/westbury ventures shortly after that from a Tom Morrow. I have not heard a thing from either of them now for over a month. Should i be concerned or what do you think is going on with that?

They will eventually contact you. Sometimes it takes them a "bit" to catch on to the fact that they are not getting their debits. Also, the majority of the time, they don't even acknowledge any correspondence sent by you. Hang in there. They will begin contacting you. If they don't, they will probably turn it over to a "collection agency" and they will contact you. Enjoy the silence while you can.

Don't kid yourself, they will come after you. Get on a budget and get a second job and prepare to pay them. You need a financial roadmap, read Dave Ramsey books.

No, he/she should not "prepare to pay them", almost every internet PDL is illegal, many people have changed harassing internet PDL collection calls into "paid in full" emails and some people have gotten refunds.

You are giving people bad advice and you sound like a paid advertisement for Dave Ramsey.

They will not come after you, they most probably are not legal in your state and for them to chance losing more money by coming after you is insane. Just stand your ground they will do all they can to intimidate you, especially when they threaten to escalate your issue and seek "contractual enforcement". What the hell is contractual enforcement?
