I'm from NC, initially they took their money before they were supposed to. I've sent all the cease and desist letters, and ACH and wage revoke, and I've also closed my bank accounts, but i"m extremely worried. Are they coming to my house, or my job, or will I have a warrant for my arrest. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pretty sure that PDL's are illegal in your state. That being said, threatening arrest and showing up at your job, blah, blah, blah...it's a bunch of crap. It's just a scare tactic. Someone with more knowledge should be along to help you soon.

No one can arrest you for not paying your debts. They have to take you to court and win a judgement against you then if you don't pay they can only garnish your wages. If you had a secured loan they can repo the item.

More important is the fact that even though they are debt voltures, you owe them the money. If you have any integrity you need to pay them back if it means working two or three jobs. I suggest you grow up and fix this and never borrow money you can't pay back.

I think what Guest doesn't realize is how PDL's work. Not paying back money has nothing to do with "integrity" or being "grown up". These places ruin people's lives. I'm not saying you shouldn't pay what you borrowed, but dont' pay these internet criminals anything more than that.

Do a search for cashnet500 so you can see what you are dealing with, they are the same company payday loan yes, from what I've read they are real %&*&%^*) to deal with.
No they are not going to arrest you, I guess theoretically they could show up at your job but I've never heard of it happening, think about it, with the way they speak to people on the phone and the way they harass people, showing up in person wouldn't be a very smart thing to do.

Guest, first off, why not log in and make yourself known before you judge people? You talk about lacking integrity but you post on a board where people come for help and see no problem kicking someone when they are down, anonymously no less.
Secondly, The principle amount borrowed should be payed off in my opinion, the rest of the amount no way in hell. Most of these companies (internet PDL companies) are operating illegally, you do not pay companies who are operating illegally.

Whenever I see a "Guest" trolling on here, I am reminded of the rude emails I have gotten from PDL collection agencies. I actually have one from Westbury that says "grow up" and "integrity" in the same email. Jerks...

Guest, why dont you go play in the freeway??? You have absolutely no reason to come on here and be mean to people. If you dont use payday loans then great, go somewhere else and hurl your garbage comments. To the original poster, nobody is going to arrest you or show up anywhere near you. They are operating illegally so I would love to see an illegal company show up in a U.S. court, they would find themselves in trouble not you. Hang in there and ignore the moron guest(pest) that wont go away. PS Guest, such a big bad anonymous man you are! Come out into the light if you have so much integrity

Actually, PDL's are PROHIBITED in NC! How much did you borrow and how much have you paid back?

I never said I wasn't going to repay them. I am going to pay them, but I don't want them taking money out of my checking account anymore. The contract said they were going to take it out on a specific date...they took it out a whole week earlier, that's the thing I have a problem with. I am going to pay them back, never said I wasn't going to.
Why would you even take it there, Guest???

onceagain. The guest is probably an employee of a payday loan company. They sometimes hang out here and harrass people. You have every right to close your account ( after checking that it cant be forced open) and paying whatever you feel is right. Payday loans are illegal in your state and you can choose not to pay them at all but we recommend you pay the principal amount you borrowed. Having said that you do not deserve to have your bank account robbed by these loosers. Close it and then decide what or if you want to pay them. Just ignore the trolling guest! We all support you and are here for you

then you only owe them 245 IF you choose to pay them. ALso, they will tell you you cannot pay by money order. THat is hogwash. If they want their money they can take it any way YOU choose to pay it. Whatever you do dont let them bully you into paying any more then you owe or giving them your new bank info.

They are not going to arrest you, put you in jail, take you to court etc. They lending illegally in your state and would have no recourse in court.
So you owwe them $245...try to make arrangements for the $245. OR just send them a money order certified mail as soon as possible.
You will find the Payday loan laws North Carolina here (just select your state),

Seems to me you only owe $245. Considering PDLs are illegal in your state, I advise you not to worry about it. First off, get the block on your account and close it. Sometimes (and this is what I did) putting the block on your account before you close it prevents it from being opened back up to debits.
