How do I revoke the authorization to debit from my bank account? Is there a form letter that I can fax/mail/email? Some of the lenders we have PDDSs with don't even list an address. I am desperate. A couple of PDLs has turned into my husband and and my whole checks going towards PDLs every pay and we have to get more just to pay the minimum to get by (food & daycare). Our mortgage and car payment have both gotten behind. We just want them to stop so we can set up a payment plan or pay with income tax. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I will be going to the bank tomorrow to talk to the branch manager about putting a hard debit block on my account. My husband and I both have our checks direct deposited and mine will not stop until my next payday on Feb 11. My husband requires him to direct deposit so we don't have a choice right now. Besides the fact that my bank says the account will not actually be closed until there is no activity for 6 months and any ACHs that come through will re-open the account. I would really appreciate having a letter than I can fax & mail as soon as I talk to the bank.

"I am revoking your right to debit my checking account any longer. You, your company, or your affiliates are not authorized to debit my checking account at all. Please be aware that I have informed my financial institution of this situation and they will also be receiving a copy of this correspondence. Any further attempts at debiting my account will be rejected by my financial institution."

I am planning on sending letters to all 7 of my storefront payday loans for a debt settlement on terms I can afford. I also intend to put a hard debit block on my account. Does
anyone know what is likely to happen after that? Some of
the payday loans are newer, meaning I haven't paid much on them. What am likely to expect?

joycie have you defaulted on any of these loans yet? If not, and any of these store fronts are members of the CFSA you could request the Extended Payment Plan. CLICK HERE for information on the EPP plan. It's good that you are staying proactive but they will eventually end up taking you to court unless you can reach some sort of agreement with them.
