can you give me specifics on how you can tell if an acct on your credit bureau report has been re-aged? what would be he correct way to dispute this and what would you say in the dispute to make your claim valid?
thanks all

If you recognize the account, check your own records to see when you last paid anything on it. If the dates don't match up, then they have reaged.

If you don't recognize the account (or anything else in the account is goofy (like them trying to say an old medical bill is a installment account)) then send them a DV letter. Make sure it is sent CMRR (certified mail return receipt). When you get the card back (or email if done electronically) then you dispute with the credit bureaus, if they verify it, then that CA just committed a violation. You will more then likely have to be aggressive with the CA and take them to court if they continue to violate.
