Deleting a negative item from your report can only mean good things! I don't believe that your score will increase a great deal but having that one thing removed can make a difference when you are attempting to obtain new accounts that you will then maintain with a positive history.

So in my opinion - who cares about the score right this minute - it's great to get rid of those negative accounts!
