What does that mean?


If the original debt stems from a credit transaction, then it is permissible purpose for a CA to make an inquiry for collection purposes.

But it has to be a credit transaction. A CA collecting on unpaid parking tickets, for example, could not legally pull your credit report since the debt wasn't originally a form of credit.

this is what avante sent to my state ag's office,

the original creditor is hsbc, and after they did this pull on my cr my score went down so i filed a complaint with the state ag's office

i dont think they should have been allowed to do that, should they??
