oops, it is 866-521-0411, and i have called numbers before, and then they have your cell or home or whatever, and this girl really did not leave alot of info, but said she was with an attorneys office. they called my employment, cannot call them back from here.

They are the law offices of Kristin Swanson-Mace, it could be from a debt like credit card etc.

I would recommend researching this company on the internet before you make another move. Did they leave information as to what the debt was? If they are leaving threatening messages on your answering machine, you need to save those for potential ammo for a lawsuit. Listen to the message again, and see if they said what it is they are trying to collect on. Many of these companies will buy up OLD debt files from creditors, that are out of your state's SOL limit (Statute of Limitations - the time period beyond which a debt is uncollectible and cannot be acted on unless the debtor re-starts the SOL by acknowledging the debt or paying on it).

You need more info before you can proceed. If this company is leaving threatening voice mails indicating they will have you arrested, etc. or calling you several times a day, you have a classic case of fdcpa violation on your hands (Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act), which is a legal matter that can be prosecuted.
