i stayed at California but recently shifted to Georgia on account of my husband's business. i had taken a few loans in California but closed my account there without repaying them. am i going to face any problem in Georgia if i want to open a bank account here?

Are you syaing that you left a checking account with an oustanding balance there? Or defaulted on a loan?

You most definately will have troubles opening a new account if

You most definately will have troubles opening a new account if you have left checking accounts with balances owed on them. More than likely you are now listed with Chexsystems which can take 7years or longer to have removed. You may want to try to make arrangement to have that balance paid or I'm sure if you visit MCA's site you may be able to find a local bank or credit union that might be willing to help you.
