I ended up sending a DV letter to the email address listed on the letter (TigerDirect). To this I attached a copy of my PayPal history and asked them to contact PayPal (this is what PayPal told me to do)
I explained that I had bought a GPS but from someone on eBay and not for the dollor amount they had listed. I also noted the they did not have my name right on the letter.
I hope I hear something soon.I may send one by snail mail with RRR.

Calling ebay should get you the info you need. Once you have it, then you can send a copy by certified mail to them and include a copy of paypal records so you can show them the recipient of the payment you made and that the payment cleared your account no problem.

momma...you can access your sept 2007 transactions thru paypal.
on your main acct page look for a clickable link beside the title/name "Account Activity (History)", w/o the quotation marks of course. to the right of that it will have a clickable link (in blue) that says "All Account Activity", click that and the next page will allow you to search through all kinds of dates. i know this works as i just tried it with mine before writing this. it showed my transactions for that time period so should work with your paypal acct.
then you can click/go to your payment page from there which will show the transaction...just be sure not to print out any real personal info but will show proof that the payment cleared for sure and exactly how much it was.
and did paypal actually decline the payment? it would also show this on your transaction page for this item.

I think you should also mail the letter. Follow up until it is finished so it doesn't come back to haunt you again.
