I am in the same boat. I am too ashamed to say how many I have. Both kinds. But the **** is about to hit the fan as I can not longer pay my other bills and I am comtemplating bankruptcy.
all I have paid is the weekly fees on both kinds and some I have been doing for years.
I want to know what to do first. I am trying the loan thing with no success...that is a consolidation loan.

Hi all and welcome. There are not companies that loan you the money to pay these pdls back. There are companies help but you have to pay them in addition to the pdls. Many of us here have worked hard to pay them ourselves and succeeded. If you all could give us the info about the pdls as asked above we can start to help you get control. If you want to investigate the companies that do debt consolidation there are two that I have seen here, Town and Country and Langhorne. If you type both names in the search box at top of this page you can read about other forum members experiences with them. Otherwise list the info and we will help you. Good luck to all of you and believe me when I say you are not dumb or another negative name. YOu are all good people that got sucked into this payday loan nightmare. You can get out and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Be strong and hang in there but first of all stop calling yourselves names!!!

As are many other people in today's society, I am in deep trouble with multiple payday loans. I have borrowed some money from family members but it has never been enough to pay them off completely or the timing has been wrong, and I remain in this stinking mess. Does anyone out there know if there is a way to access 401(k) money if your employee does not offer a loan program and hardship withdrawals are so strict (only several reasons they will let you take money out)? I know taking money from retirement is stupid but we have enough in there that by taking out just a small amount would rid me of this payday problem. Is there any legal way to access this 401(k) money?

zona, I'm going to post your state pdl law for us all to see. However, if you could please list out who your pdls are (distinguish between storefront and internet), how much you borrowed (principal amount only), and how much you have paid back so far (total), we can help you here. We have all been in the same situation. If you let us know who you are dealing with, we can help. You may actually be dealing with some illegal companies. If you feel comfortable, please list them. You can do this all on your own with our help. I did it and many, many others have done it. When I first came here, I had many internets and storefronts also. We're here to help.

I posted here awhile back and since then I have signed on with Langhorne and they seem to be doing a good job. My payments are only $100 a month for approximately nine months vs $600 a month for interest only on all of my payday loans, I closed my account and opened a new one that is safe from the clutchs of the lenders. I am pretty satisfied so far.

Hello Lisa,
Welcome to the forum. I see you have all storefronts and most are members of the CFSA. The CFSA will allow you to set up Extended Payment Plans with your loans in four equal payments. Please read this link below.

http://www.cfsa.net/public_education_campaign/guidelines/guidelines_extended_payment_plans.html

Ace Cash Express is not a CFSA member, but they do payment arrangements once a year. I did this myself back when I had a loan out with them. Best of Luck :P

I have payday loans that need to be taken care of. I signed up with PDL Assistance and paid the $200.00 fee so far. I have already closed my bank account. I wonder if I need to stay with PDL Asistance,or if I can do this myself. I do not know which ones are legal and which are not, and what I need to pay back for real. I live in Florida. These are the loans I have:

Paycheck Today 300 / 180pd
B.I.G. Ltd. 200 / 60 pd
CashAdvanceNetwork 300 / pd 180
Loan Shop 300 /135 pd
CashCentral (L&G Finance, Inc.) 300 / 76.03 pd
Amscot (walk-in) 500 / 0 pd (this one is every 2 weeks, pay in full with 51 dollar fee, then renew in 24 hours, so one can never get out of debt. I have renewed every two weeks for 6 months!)
ameriloan 300 / 270 pd

Can anyone tell me if these are legal in my state? Also, cna anyone tell me how much I need to pay back and how to go about dong this? I just figure I shouls not have to pay fees to someone else if I can do this myself with a little help from you experts!

Lisa

You haven't mentioned the names of the pdls and the state you live in. If pdls are illegal in your state or are not licensed to operate in your state, then you can simply pay off the principal balance and get rid of them. You won't be liable for paying any extra fees or charges to them. If you're unable to pay off the principal balance, you can go for a payday loan consolidation or payday loan settlement by taking help from a debt relief company.
