seen a lawyer a few years ago, a few months went by and my son got cancer and the lawyer told me to wait.
So I did..
Now that I want it over the price went went from 1150 to 1500-1600 bucks and they shredded my file over a year ago and never said a darn word.I have the money to file for Chapter 7 but not sure how.
He now says that it is up to a panel of people to decide whether or not they will let you go bankrupt or make you pay.I need to go chapter 7. I am a stay at home mom
I am confused???
I acquired all this debt (about 7,000) between 5-8 years ago. I was young and stupid , got a divorce and used a CC to buy things and 500 of it is medical bills. 1,000 of it is from a student loan through Baker college ( I never attended any classes,I had family issues)
He also stated that I must put down the income of people I live with.
My fiance has nothing to do with it.
I just do not understand.
Also can they go after me once we are married since he is not involved in this because I did all of this before I met him??
Thank You

In most states once you are married what is your is his and what
In most states once you are married what is your is his and what is his is yours. They can in those community property states come after both your assets.
I am deleting your duplicate post!
