please take some time and read the Community Success Stories. Since I have been home all week I think I have read just about every thread on every forum on this board. The kind, encouraging words from those who have gone before us give the strength to continue on. It is heartwarming to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. For me it is a double edge sword. . . .it also brings tears to my eyes to know that SO many of us are being or have been taken in by these unscrupulous individuals. Please keep the words of encouragement coming. They energize us. They are our lifeline.

llw, I know you're talking to kash, but she might be off right now. I can tell you that I personally had 12 internets and 5 storefronts. I came to this site in June 2007 SCREAMING for help! It was long and ugly and hard in the beginning - and a lot of work. But really it depends on your situtation. Are they legal? Are they licensed? Some work better than others. Some are easy. Some are jerk offs. But to put it in a nutshell, I've been living the "free life" for a few months now. I worked my ass off with the help of this site and these people and my state. So...... you can plan on digging for quite a few months to be honest. But, as you can see, it is possible. Many of the members here are pdl free and we stick around to help others get there also and to prove that it can be done. Don't expect it to go away in a couple of months. It usually takes that long to get the ball rolling. Then you might get overwhelmed and want to throw your arms up and say "forget this". But don't. You can do it. It's worth it in the end. And it'll be one hell of a lesson learned!

cannr. . .June of 2007. That's a mere 8 months ago and you have accomplished all this already? And that is including your "free" few months. That in itself is encouraging. Thank you for sticking around to help us "newbies" out. Once I am into something I usually stick around for the long haul and I don't intimidate easily, especially when we are talking about my money! If I feel a moment coming on, I run to my computer and there are all the smiling faces that make it all possible. Please know how grateful I am to everyone here.

So TRUE Cannr...As yet i am at the infancy stage of this "mess". Have gone to bank, typed letters etc..
After reading the numerous stories on this site, i have realized that my situation is not going to end quickly. This may go on for a year or more. After reading some of the stories, i sometimes think that maybe letting them continue to take money is the easier way out, then I get my brain cells back and say H----- NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whiterock. . .I am new at this as well but even after a couple of weeks I find myself sleeping better and not as worried as I was before I came here. These people have been getting away with this for way too long and if anyone can get through to them it will be the good people of this community. Have a great evening everyone.

llw and white - believe me, I worked my ASS off! I'm laughing here as I type this! It was like a full time job in the beginning. I wanted to give up. I was tired of it. I couldn't stand it. I was going insane. But every single time something happened, I came here, posted, got advice, then tackled the problem. I didn't make a move without first coming here and asking questions. Then I would respond. These people calmed me down and got my head straight again. If you're determined (and I know you are), you will do it. It's possible. Now, I'm not going to lie. We had a running joke on here in the beginning that I'd have to go outside and smoke a cigarette every time I got an email from a pdl! Hell, I was smoking like a chimney! LOL! llw, seeing you put it into months really opened my eyes. It really doesn't seem that long, does it? Hell, it feels like 100 years to me! Ugh! But once you live through the ugliness, you'll be on here posting away to new people helping them!

OK Cannr...I have smoked a Pack and then some... Now into the beer...Don't know if my meds are going to be enough to get me though this. Funny... that my occupation is taking care of others, and i can't even take care of myself...what a joke!!!!!!.. thought about quiting my job and cashing in my retirement, and being done...but have decided to fight this at the risk of maybe being let go from my job..

cannr.. you are right. One minute of this hell seems like an eternity when you are going through it but you need to be proud of yourself for what you have accomplished. Only after the fact can we look back and say "I did good." As for the cigarette thing. . .I don't smoke but I do have to admit I am hitting the fridge for that "just one more piece of chocolate to tide me over" more often than in the past. I guess we all have our vices!

white, I'm glad you decided to "fight the fight" instead of cashing in your retirement, etc. That would have been terrible for you. It just breaks my heart the things that come to mind when we find ourselves in what we think is a "no way out" situation. Please keep up the fight. It is worth it. And cigarettes, beer, ice cream, whatever does it - go for it! :D

Well, hopefully you're not going to lose your job! And don't cash in your retirement for these blood suckers! It'll be okay. You're up for it. And it'll end. It'll suck in the meantime  but you will be done one day. Promise!

Oh, I hope you keep up the good attitude! You need it! It actually got a little comical doing mine going back and forth with these bozos via email. It got to be a game for a couple of months. Hell, one pdl blocked my emails because I hounded them so much!
