Has anyone heard of Capital Management services, And how are they to deal with Here is what they wrote me:
This company has been engaged by Chase Bank to resolve the delinquent debt of $22,318.00. Please submit your payment.
Unless you notify us in 30 days after receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt of $22,318.00 or any portion thereof, this office will assume this debt is valid. If you notify this office in writing within 30 days from receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion thereof, this office will obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of judgment and mail you a copy of such judgment or verification. If you request in writing within 30days after receiving this notice this office will provide you with the Name and address of the original creditor.
also they have tried to get information on me from my place of employment, which was not answered. I know that Chase charged this off back in June of 2007. Is this there first scare tatic, should i just wait and see what they do?, this is the 2nd Ca to have this Acct. The other one gave up i guess.

The first thing I would do, always, is send them a certified let
The first thing I would do, always, is send them a certified letter requesting debt validation. You need to send it certified mail to cover your butt, so you can prove they received it. Even if you know the debt is yours, do this....it will ensure that the amount is valid and that they have the legal right to collect it.
