Just got an email this morning from the BBB. Making strides, but still not to my satisfaction. It goes something like this, and I am paraphrasing. . .she knew the terms, she understood the terms, blah, blah, blah and then comes the "offer", as a courtesy, we will extend to the customer a one time offer of $120 on the original $390 loan, since she has only paid $270.00 on that amount. This must be sent by Monegram and no later than the 29th of February. Not to bad if I had only paid $270.00 but I have paid $360.00, to date. I immediately fired off this response:

I have reviewed the response from ameriloan. While I appreciate their offer, I disagree with what has been paid on the original $300.00 loan amount, thus far. Dates of account debits are as follows:

November 1, 2007 $90.00
November 30, 2007 $90.00
December 31, 2007 $90.00
February 1, 2008 $90.00

According to my math, that would be a total of $360.00, not $270.00 as reported by Ameriloan. I can provide documentation, from my bank, to substantiate these payments. I appreicate your help in assiting me to resolve this to my satisfacation.

I could have accepted this and been done with it but I have already overpaid and they still want more! they need to check their accounting more carefully. Seems like they know they are in the wrong or they would not be making absurd "offers" to begin with.
I did ask for a refund of my $60.00 overpayment so we will see what happens next. I am surprised, though, that the BBB was so quick, as was Ameriloan. Have a nice day. . .

Isn't it amazing how they try to make it seem like they are doing you a favor and things are your fault all the time? I think on one of mine I sent stuff back and forth thru the BBB several times until the company quit responding. I believe it was Midland I was dealing with at the time.

The last time one I got they said that they would not withdraw any more money from my account and that I could not borrow from them again. I responded back that I would accept this providing they sent me a paid in full letter and a guarantee that they would not put this on my credit report nor would they bother me again. I never got a response to that, never got a PIF letter or anything. Midland just quit responding all together.

Interestingly enough, I had way too much time on my hands today and am more convinced than ever that ameriloan and US Fast Cash ARE one in the same. Ameriloans response to the BBB was that I had paid only $270 on a $300 loan (plus the everyday low fee of $90). That loan has had $360 paid on it BUT the loan to US Fast Cash was for $300 also and I have paid ONLY $270 on that loan. Both Ameriloan and US Fast Cash have identical addresses. Can't these people keep what's going to who straight? I am convinced that they have NO accounting methods and don't know who owes them what so they just keep on taking the money until somebody stops them. Is this just one BIG PDL organization?

Sometimes it feels that way. When you read all the posts and see how many different companies are d/b/a's of other companies you begin to wonder if there is some sort of conspiracy. I am with you about the whole accounting thing....I had a company give me a loan I never applied for. Go figure. They can not keep anything straight..probably a high turn over in staff... Who knows with these companies.

Roxy. .if they hadn't "quoted" a dollar amount that I had paid, I probably wouldn't have questioned it but the $270 figure was exactly what I paid on the other loan. I really think all of their loans go into a central area and there IS no accounting for what comes in where. God, these people are the height of incompetence. How can anyone take them seriously. I guess all this just proves what we have been saying all along. If you are going to be in the business of lending, you best be good at math and/or have a good memory.

 Hi morning....llw, I had a loan with one company and the next thing I knew another company started debiting my account in their place, one was a d/b/a of the other. When I filed with the bbb, the original company stated they never heard of me. But they sure took my money. When you look at some of the companies people post they borrowed from, some people have borrowed from the same company under three or four of their d/b/a's. It is crazy.

I know when I had a loan with them I ended up paying $ 660.00 on a 300.00 loan. I filed complaints against ameriloan and they gave me the standard response that I too knew the terms..They never wont give me a refund (not suprised) and they wont send me a letter saying its paid in full. I ended up closing my account when I was available. I know its frustrating but have to keep those complaints coming....
