Help with aviatar

OK - I have tried to get a picture up in the little screen, but every time i post i get a different picture..I would like to have one picture.. how do i do that. help as i am not a computer smart individual.


OK Whiterock, it's like this [assuming you have a pic handy that you want to use].

There's an 'Edit Profile' link on this page, top right corner, under the search box. Click that.

Scroll to the bottom of the resulting page. There's a section there entitled 'Avatar control panel'.

If your image is on your local machine [the one in front of you at the moment], you'll want to use the top option. Type the file path and name of your image in the text box. Or just hit the 'Browse' button beside it, then navigate your machine until you've found and selected your image. Click the 'OK', "Select" or whatever button on the navigation dialog box. It'll close and return you to the Avatar control panel. At this point, the file path and name will be entered in the text box. Click the 'Submit' button, and you're done.

Your picture needs to be no larger in size than 135 pixels wide x 100 pixels tall, and the file size can be no larger than 21 KB. If your pic meets those qualifications, you're golden. If not, post it in this thread, and I'll resize it for you.

I resize pictures all the time.

Hi Whiterock-First thing, make sure you have saved the picture to your PC. Second, when you open the PM to me, at the bottom there is a button that says browse, hit that button and it will open the folders in your PC and you will just need to locate the picture file, double click on the file and the file path name will automatically appear in the box right next to the browse button. Then just hit submit.
