I am now homeless as a result of payday cash advance loans, I can't seem to get out this nightmare!!!, I lapsed into this dark hole one day when I was on my to help my daughter who was expecting to give birth t any day, my car broke down, and the moral of the story ids that I was ripped off by the Auto place that towed my car in 900.00, my daughter had no room for me to stay in a failing marriage at the time for the both of us, I went to a extended hotel and tried to live off of my Veterans Disability check and a small amount of social security. short story this failed and i had to go to a payday loan place/title loan; credit was not the best because of leftovr hospital bills...I have to flip the loans at the first of the month when my VA hits the bank, to walk out ith at least 600.00. and I'm now trying to find a place to stay, there's more to the story, but I'm at the library trying to use the PC internet for free.
My daughter stopped speaking to me, because of a small offense( :?: ).. I have 1600 total in loans and I'm afraid that I will go to jail if I can't pay, for NSF and bounced check. I tried once to speak with them and they threatned me and flew into a tirade, saying that if I'm not in there by the 3rd they will deposit the chcks intop my account. I am about to lose hope while considering bankruptcy but first I have to find a place to live.. I want to pay them in installments but they don't seem to want this

I'm so sorry to hear about everything that has happened to you. First of all, they can't have you arrested. This is a typical tactic used by quite a few of the more shady PDL vendors as well as the collection agencies they use. Debts are civil matters, not criminal. I am curious, are these store front loans or internet? Also you can revoke their access to your checking account at any time (just speak to a representative at your bank)

Lastly, what state do you live in?

I, too, am so sorry this has happened to you. Can you please tell us the information that JCEMT requested? If you can tell us if these are storefront loans or internet loans, it would help us better. And we need to know what state you reside in so that we can check your state pdl law and see what kind of action they can take. We can try to help you out.

Basically what that means is that what you're supposed to do is go into the storefront on your payday, pay the check off in full, and then you can rewrite another check to get money again. Not walk in there, just pay a "finance charge" or whatever they want to call it and extend the loan. You are supposed to pay it in full.

I am deeply, deeply sorry for your troubles. But I promise you, we will fix this together. But we must know whether these are storefront or internet loans, as this will affect the legality, if any, of the loans.
First off, please each loan you have, whether storefront or internet as mentioned and how much you have actually paid with rollovers. This will give us a better idea as to where you actually are.

These are storefronts loans, correct? Can you please tell us the names of the storefronts and we can check to see if they are members of the CFSA? Also, can you please let us know if what I posted above is what you are doing at the storefront - going in, paying the full amount, and rewriting?
