yes love,i have been at this for 8 months now.it ois a long process.we are always here.have you filed with the AG'S of the states the pdl's have addresses.try that.it also pains me to see someone in this state.it's like the pdl's have won.i don't want to see that.

yes---one of my PDLs were from New Mexico---so I decided to write Ag in New Mexico---because BBB would not help...thought it would not hurt....

Paul, I think love filed with the AGs for the state the companies are located in as well. I did that with a couple of mine and they were quite responsive, especially if the company was not licensed there either.

i just am flabergasted that the nc AG was so not willing to assist.

Me too...but the more we file, the more chances someone will either decide to help becuase it is the right thing to do or will get so sick of hearing from all of us the will look into it to get us off their backs. I filed several times on the same company...It is alot of work but my hope is that in places where people are being pushed aside, that someday someone will notice and make changes. Changes are happening in some places, hopefully if we keep up the deluge of paper it can change in more places.

oh and don't forget how alot of pdl companies lie to government agencies as well.

BTW - Few people get tons of help from the various government agencies. The best reason for filing the complaints is because if they get enough, they will realize there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Most state's AG offices don't really help much. Some do, but most don't. You can't expect much from them. You really have to do everything yourself. It can take months to fight some companies.

I just have to jump in here. First of all, love, you just came here in February! It hasn't even been a full month or two yet! It's WAY too soon to give up! Paul has been working on his for 8 months. It took months for me to get mine straightened out. And, I do have to say, the ones that gave me a boat load of trouble, my state AG did get those a$$e$ off my back. Maybe a lot of people don't get a bunch of help from their state AG. I thank mine every day. I mean, it took MONTHS to get responses; however, I hung in there. You have to wait it out. Also, I fought the hell out of the pdls. Yes, that took months, too. love, don't give up after such a short amount of time, please!

I am not giving up..I will do the waiting and if BBBs and AGs don't help oh well---COLLECTIONS can come get me..Faxing and mailing can get expensive...I just can not do that...my son needed a medicine that is now over the counter--I had no money to get it---I spent money faxing and stamping envelopes....getting my points turned over to cash may not come sooon...so I am going to have to stop faxing and stamping for awhile---disability only covers so much......I can not keep after these jerks to do help...thanks for your wishes/concerns but I can only do what I can afford--I can not come up with extra cash anytime I need it...

Totally understandable, love. I'm so sorry about all of this mess. We just love you and want you to come out on top of these illegal companies! But, you're so right. It costs a lot to get the ball rolling. I was grateful for all the things I could do on line. The faxing and mailing does get costly. We're just trying to cheer you on, love! Are you going to be able to get your son his medicine?

I don't think any of us is in a situation where we can come up with extra cash anytime we need it. Or else we wouldn't have gotten ourselves into messes with payday loans.

Email the letters if you have an email address. You won't have the proof it was received like you would with a certified letter, but it's better then nothing. Also, you can sign up on efax, and online faxing site, and get a free trial. Cancel before the end of the free trial and you won't get charged. I've done it several times, and I got the free trial everytime, so they seem to let you do it more then once.

There are ways. But you have to want to fight it, instead of using excuses to give up. Maybe I'm being harsh, but other's are going to read your posts and possibly give up too because they see you saying it's too hard and too expensive. I feel like you are looking to rationalize your wanting to giving up by saying it's too expensive. Other's here have not had money to send a letter. The waited. Or they found another way.

What's worse? Spending $10 to rid yourself of payday loans, or paying rollover fees every payday?

I have emailed--emails get sent back...you know I am not making excuses only that I am on disability and yes its cheaper than PDLS but I am ...you know forget it---good luck...I will wait it out but thats it.....

You are not the first person here on disability. Some of our longtime members are on disability too. That never stopped them from standing up for their rights and fighting.

Maybe I'm being harsh, but I see 23 pages on this thread. That means many members here have put in a lot of time and work into helping you. Look at all the other recent threads . . . . Do you see one of the same size? No! Eveeryone here was pulling for you. It's just disappointing to see someone give up so easily.

I have my account closed...I AM NOT doing any more letters/faxing --I have sent out to all who should of been contacted...once I get answers back from the letters and so far--NO ONE has helped..I am doing no more.....I will be done.....I have heard from many BBBs and a few AGs--only have a couple to hear from--then I am done!!! I have no more to say...good luck to all....

Hell, if it was as easy as one letter to each company, this site wouldn't be as active as it is. Most companies take months to conquer. You have to presever.

Your negative attitude is the problem. I just hope other's reading this don't get discouraged by your posts and think this is how it goes. You are the ONLY person that has gotten help here that came back with this kind of attitude.

To all the others out there that actually want to take control of their financial life and end the cycle of payday loans - Know this. It is not easy. No one said it would be. It is work. You must put in the time and energy to see results. If you have a bad attitude and don't want to put in the effort to clear up you mess, you will be stuck forever. No situation is too far gone.

Please, take these comments from lovedalehpbear for what they are, a person that doesn't want to put in the effort to fight. Read through the posts on this site, and you will see that tons of people have been helped, and you will find no one else with this kind of attitude.

There is a whole forum dedicated to when people win over their debts. If you are serious about reclaiming your financial freedom, we are here to help. But it does take work and there is effort involved. There is no magic pill to dissolve your debt.

THE AGs and BBB has not helped!!!!! This forum got me started on a better path......please correct that...

If the AGs and BBB say they will not help--then there is not much more to do.....I am still waiting on NC AG.....I wrote all the letters and more/faxed/emailed---closed bank account--NOW I AM WAITING!!!!!!

The point I'm trying to make is that you can not count on the government to help. Most people here did it all without any help from the AG's office or BBB . . . . Only in a few cases did they help.

To say there is nothing else to do because the AG and BBB won't get involved is not right. They get involved in maybe 5% of the cases . . . . The other 95% are solved by the person themselves. You don't need their help. You could do it without them.

We are all waiting...........I have only been here since the last week in Feb...so it's only been a month for me...what makes me feel better is to help someone else out to make them feel better...

Goudah is right again; it's up to you but at least even with the little help from the state; gives me pride in just complaining even though I may think it won't help much...but gives me pleasure to know that it's out there..

1-800-654-7444...I googled it and it comes up as Cashnet500 (paydayloan-yes is my PDL with them)...they leave messages saying "This is First National....call them at this number using ext.###"

love, since it's the original pdl still contacting you, do you still have "the letter" that you mailed them originally? Stating they are illegal, you revoke their debit authorization, etc?? If so, do you have an email address for them? You can email them that same letter. Don't take their calls. Don't speak to them. You want everything in writing. Do you still have that letter? And, do you have an email for these idiots?

I have emailed then numerously and mailed them a letter...BBB contacted and AGs contacted...they still continue to call and leaving messages.....thanks though

love, they are jerks. Keep sending that letter via email to them. They will eventually realize (yes, they are SLOW), that they aren't going to get you on the telephone and resort to communicating with you via email. I know it sucks, but they will eventually come around and email you back. Hell, I sent my letter about 40 times to every email I had! :lol:

Sometimes more than once a day if they responded with an idiot email telling me I owed them a half million bucks! I'd just email the same letter to them again! :lol:
