I love this site and it has given me great advice regarding my pay day loan help. However, I need more advice.
Before I got langhorne to deal with my numerous pay day lenders. I made an over the phone settlement agreement with a lenders, Rapid Cash management( they 're in England). After a agreement of $50 every twice a month was made, I was unable to have the representative e-mail anything in writing repeating the verbal agreement we made. They requested I fax over a copy of the money order and mail it to thier office in England. However, when I call many times to see if the fax number they gave me was an international one or one in the US. I got conflicting answers like they didn't want to say. The fax number is 1-306-251-3479. Isn't 306 an Washington area code?

I already faxed them a copy of the money order and I'm going to mail it out tomorrow. However, i'm still worried that because I don't have anything in writing they can come after me again and again after my payments are done. I'm paying $360 on a $200 loan.
The $89 I missed because I closed my account was tacted onto my bill.

Please advice, if in making this verbal agreement which was probably recorded WITHOUT ANYTHING IN WRITING can be fixed.

Please help.

if you want my honest answer, DO NOT MAIL IT OUT.

I say that for your own protection. payday lenders are predatory lenders most of the time and a ton of them are notorious for screwing you out of all kinds of money if you let them. A good general rule of thumb is this--there is no legitimate business in the world where money changes hands without any kind of documentation. The next time someone tells you that they cannot provide anything in writing, then thats what you should tell them--if this is legit, you should have no problem putting it in writing, or else you can sit back and hope for money you wont be getting.

OK, some other things--what state do you live in? Here is their contact info, if you need ot for whatever reason:

Rapid Cash Management

928 High Rd
London
N12 9RW

1800-266-8880

Every indication I have seen thus far is that this company is not licensed in any state in the country, therefore they cannot legally conduct business in any state which requires businesses to be licensed or registered. In short, this is an illegal company. If you use the search box at the top right corner of the page and type in Rapid Cash Management you will find other threads from people who have had to deal with them.

I would NEVER send someone one penny if they were not willing to document in writing exactly what was happening, thats just bad business and anyone who expects people to conduct business with them like that isnt playing with a full deck.

bronx, please listen to sky! These guys are illegal! Have you paid anything on it yet? Please say no. You need something in writing stating that payment arrangement and that once it is paid in full, it would be marked paid in full and marked closed. You got nothing. Plus the fact that these guys are illegal. Plus the fact that they are asking you to pay 360.00 on a 200.00 loan. No! And the fax number they gave you - the area code is actually Saskatchewan, Canada!

I agree....DON'T send them anything, unless they can send YOU something in writing. PDL's can be sneaky. Can anyone answer a question? Are MOST PDL's out of Canada? I had someone call me, a 'Law' office ( Burgess, I think the name was..) and he stated, to me he was "collecting on a PDL." It WAS a PDL, that I have and I'm taking care of it. However...I'm NOT dealing with this 'Burgess' fellow.I'm dealing with the PDL company itself. Anway....this 'Law' office (as I was doing research..) is located in Canada. 'Burgess keeps telling me that, "their office owns the loan now." I called the PDL I'm dealing with........they never 'sold' it to anyone. MM...How do I handle this, with the 'Law' office?
