Ameriloan is done

As you know, I received an email from the Tulsa BBB a while back regarding ameriloan. I had a $300 loan and I have already paid on it for four months. They did take that into consideration and agreed that I had paid $360 on that loan, principal and fees together. That to me was a step in the right direction and I felt that I was getting somewhere. I countered their offer stating that $120 was way above what I owed and sent it back to the BBB. Today I got another email from the BBB with a response from Ameriloan stating that they would settle my account for the remaining amount of $30, which actually brought my total paid to $390, the exact amount of the original agreed upon amount. Yes, I know that I did overpay but I did sign on for $390 and I am glad to have one of the PDLer's behind me. I sent off the $30 today and I would hope for a PIF, but I am not expecting one. Honestly, I don't ever want to hear from them again, in any way, shape or form. This gives me some peace of mind and the strength to go on and fight the other four. Now I am hoping for a resonable counter from USFastCash. As for Star Advance, PayDayMax and MyCashNow, I haven't heard a peep from any of them. PS. . I got a paycheck today and I actually was excited about paying my bills! I'm broke. . .again. . .but happy that I was able to have money, pay those bills and sleep peacefully tonight knowing that my money has gone to good use. Thanks again guys. . .you will never know how much I needed you.


llw, great job! :D You did well! You paid what you agreed to. That's fine! Actually, I personally would WANT them to send me something that stated my account was paid in full and closed so they don't come haunting you later or send some collection agency after you. Congratulations to you! I'll tell you that USFastCash will most likely be a hard one. They are very hard-headed. However, you might have better luck than me! :lol: I'm so glad you got your paycheck and you paid bills! Isn't it just SICK how thrilled we get paying our bills now!!! I loved it!!! Sad, sad, sad! Great job! I'm VERY proud of you!

cannr. . thanks so much for the kind words. I know that legally I owe them what they deposited into my account, but if I can get away with just what I agreed to, I will be happy. I am gearing up for the fight with USFastCash but I will be ready when the response comes in. Actually MyCashNow is paid with the exclusion of the $90 fees, and I still owe both Star Advance and PayDayMax. Star provided me with a mailing address before I even sent them my letter, but PayDayMax has been silent. Thanks again and I'll keep ya posted.

You guys are so funny! It really does feel good to get one of those monkeys off my back. I know that I still have an uphill battle but this has sure made my spirits soar. My goal is to get this squared away before the summer hits. . . I want to enjoy the warm weather. Think I am raising the bar too high?

NO!!!!! You've got the determination and you've got the fight in you! That's where the results come from! Hell, I was surprised at how quickly (although it felt like 100 years) that I was able to say "I am pdl free!" It just seems like forever. But, I'm telling you, with the guts, determination, and attitude, you can definately do it! I know you can!

VB Mom. . thanks a bunch. Yes, it did indeed feel good to pay those "legal" bills even though I am broke, but I'd sooner be broke and have my creditors happy than broke and lining the pockets of the evildoers. I still have four more to chip away at but one is currently working with the BBB as well and the other three, well, they are among the missing for the time being. I hope you had a great weekend. . . we are having a heat wave here, in the 30's today and believe it or not, the 50's tomorrow!

love. . .I know exactly how you feel. Knowing that I still have much to do in front on me, just taking control of my money again made a hugh difference in my attitude. I think the sense of hopelessness comes from NOT having control over what is going on. I am to the point that I really don't care what they say I owe them. I know what I agreed to and that is what they will get. They can whine all they want. I can play the game as long as the next person. These people are illegal and wrong and they know it. Like many have said before. . .what illegal operation is going to try and cause a ruckus and bring suspicion on themselves as a result. Happy dreams my friend!
