I suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago and while in the hospital FAMS began calling my wifes cell phone and my son's home phone. My wife told them that I was in the hospital from a stroke and they acted as if they could care less and wanted to know who was handling my finances. I am back home now, but the stroke affected my vision and I can barely see, but I stayed up all night a few nights ago and used JC's template for the DV letter and also a Cease and Desist and sent them. I haven't received the green card back yet though. Thanks to everyone that post on this forum; I would never have known about the collection laws.

man, just hang in there! This must be a huge amount to deal with right now....just try the best you can to take things one step at a time. We will be here to answer anything we can, so try your best not to panic or worry when they call you--we can help you get it sorted out!

Glad that youre home now and you will be in my family's prayers tonight. Get well soon! And let us know what those clowns reply with, if they reply at all.

Thanks for the prayers they are greatly appreciated. I went to the PO today and still no returned green card, maybe they won't sign it? One of the numbers they called from was 636) 925-5300, I looked it up on "whocalled.us" and there were many complaints about this company. Thanks again for for all you do on this site.

Someone from Financial Asset Management Systems keeps calling my cell phone looking for someone named Anthony Wilson and this is not his number. I do not know him and he has not had this phone number because I've had this number for over 9 years. Please check your records for this guy and remove the number you have for him because it's incorrect. Thank you.
