white, as kash stated, HR really only needs the part regarding revoking any wage assignment. However, if you used the letter that has everything rolled in together (including the revoking of wage assignment), then go ahead and give them copies. Better to cover your butt! Great job on getting those letters done!

Your HR dept would get in some serious trouble for letting one go through. You don't have to embarrass yourself and give them to your payroll dept if you don't want to.

Guest, For the most part wage assignments are illegal in California HOWEVER, there are some stipulations that have to be met in order to make it legal, such as:
If you are married, the spouse must also be a party to the wage assignment
The wage assignment document needs to be executed with the agreement in advance from the consumers HR dept.
There are a whole list of others requirements and none of the PDL's execute wage assignments in accordance to the requirements.

Thanks for letting me know that is a big relief.. I have been so busy at work that i haven't even had time to contact my payroll department. I may go ahead and give them a "heads" up anyway, as they may start getting some phone calls. Either that, I may just fax and email the pdls and let them know that wage assignments are illegal. Goudah can you direct me to the site where i can find the law?
On another note..the Phone calls and emails have started coming in. Received 3 calls today from Andrea from NLS i.e. National Cash Advance (1 at the office, 1 at home and 1 on my cell..also email). then received email from Amerialoan, United Cash Advance and US Cash Advance. 1 PC from Webpayday on my cell. ameriloan is giving me 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt and that they are giving me an opportunity to "amend" the oversite. even gave me an address and phone of which i had the wrong address listed. i will correct the address on the letter when i mail it out. United's address is also different from what i had and will have to correct that. FUNNY THEY ALL USE P.O. BOX 111 IN MIAMI, OK DIFFERENT STREET ADDRESSES THOUGH. haven't received an email from WebPayDay. Received email from NLS, but no address. wonder if they will have the same mailing address also. I am hoping the fax#s are correct since those are the ones printed on the contracts.
Sorry this is so long, but am trying to put everything together. Hopefully will be able to get the letter mail out by the end of the week.
do I need to respond to the emails?

white, goudah has posted the information that you need. (Thanks, goudah!) As far as all the emails and phone calls you are getting, when you get an email, reply with your original letter. Just send it to them again. If you get phone calls, either email or fax the letter to them again. Just keep on sending that sucker. And, if you feel comfortable giving your HR department a heads-up on these companies, then by all means, do it. They might be able to help!

thanks for all of the advise guys, it has really been a big help. I will print up the statute and have it handy just in case they try a fast one.
Didn't receive any phone calls at work or home today. Cell phone was dead so haven't checked that yet.

I will print it and keep it handy. I have been reading some of the other threads and it just makes me sick to see what these PDLS will do to get money. But now since i have been on this site, I know that I will not be intimidated by their tactics. They will get their money when i can afford to pay them off and only then. I am tired of living with a negative bank balance because of them.
