The good news is I have hardly heard from any of the IPDL's after sending my letters. Payday Yes has sent a few emails, Tim Atkins saying they are experiencing a problem with my account and to please contact them.
I'm going to personally email him the letter in case he is not aware his "company" received it.
I also have been inundated with offers for more loans, probably from the same sharks under a different disquise.
My present problem is with one of the storefronts.
Rather than working out a payment plan with a discounted rate, he wanted me to continue to rewrite checks to both stores and is lowering the fee but it doesn't equate to any discount because of the interest
carried. Should I refuse to write the checks and tell him it's not only illegal to write a check on a closed account but he could be fined if the State found out he was encouraging such a practice?
The other storefront is letting me pay her off every 2 weeks, whatever I can afford and I want this guy to do the same. I'm due in again tomorrow and need some advice. I've had two loans with this company for over 1 1/2 years and have paid plenty of money...but it's harder to get this monkey off your back than a IPDL.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Clove, good to hear from you. I am really glad things are working out. The e-mails from Tim are one of the biggest jokes around here...we all get them every Tuesday faithfully. Just e-mail the pdl letter back in response...it does not make a difference anyway. They do not read them but atleast you are responding.

As for the store front Cannr usually recommends you call the corporate offices if the storefront is not working with you. Is this person just the store clerk or is it a manager...if it is the clerk, you may want to try the regional manager.

The thing with writing a check on a closed account - Even if the guy encouraged you, it would be you that would get into trouble. You are the one that wrote the check, and you could have refused.

I'd recommend not doing it again, and like Roxy said, try to get someone in the corporate office or higher up to help you.

Hey Guys...thanks for the advice. I did have a new email from Timmyboy this AM. He is now offering a 70% settlement saying they sincerely care and want to help. I just sent him an email, whether he reads it or not!
I agree with Goudah...I don't want to write any more checks, especially on a closed account. The guy I'm working with is the Asst. to the Regional, he is over the storefront managers. I'm surprised he would suggest to keep writing checks but I'll have to go over his head if he will not work with me...it's just hard to find the "corporate people" for this outfit. Trust me...they aren't the cream of the crop. Their corporate office could be in a shack in a cotton field for all I know. I'll keep you posted!

Well,
I believe the fun just began. Apparently he didn't like my last email and got his drawers in a wad, or took too much testosterone because his 2nd email was a testy demand to pay in 2 installments and now I owe 200 dollars more than the original loan agreement! Imagine that... so my next email was more stern and blatantly to the point. I thought it is interesting his last email was his email address but signed by someone named, "jeanine". Is he having an identity crisis? Also noticed that if their office is only open 8-4:30 eastern time, why is he sending emails around 8:30-9:00 p.m.??? Just a few discrepancies.... :x
So I take it he/she/ it has reared their ugly head with peeps here in the past and most of you are aware of their MO. I'm surprised I haven't been harrassed by the other ones....yet and it's been over a month since I went absentee on them with only one threatening email but I know the others are UK, CA, and maybe NV but not literate in the English language in the least.
I'll just keep on keeping on! :)

Yes! Mr. Tim use to send me emails every single day trying to settle for 70%. Now just last week I started receiving calls at my work from Asset Alliance Management which I ignored the calls, but guess what? On Saturday I reveived a collection letter from them and they are collecting for Payday Loan yes. So yesterday I faxed a DV letter along with a cease and desist letter, so I am hopng they don't bother me anymore. They have a lot of nerves I borrowed $350 and the letter states I owe them $700. Roxy, did they ever send you to collections?
