drivers license can be taken away

I highly doubt it. It was just a scare tactic to get you to pay. What state are you in and who is the lender?

az, i got a payday loan back in oct of 08,i had a family emergency and told them i'd be in late to make the payment, they put the check through i knew it was going to bounce so i called my bank they recommend i stop the payment. i did, now they say i attempted fraud and that they are putting a lien on my drivers license.

So this is a store front? They usually operate legally. I never heard of a lien on a drivers license.. You need to get into the store and make payment arrangements.

yeah i'm going to try and make payment arrangements when the lady calls me back they said i had til 4pm today to get back to them. hopefully they'll accept my offer. at this point they can garnish my check it's only 266.00, i just need my drivers license.

I think if you go in, make a payment plan and stick to it, you will be fine. let us know how it goes.

ok thank you, how would i get information on how to make my creid score better, right now i have bad credit. in the past 8 years i've started paying on past due student loan ( garnishment). but,then i owe crescent jewelers, & the pay day loan.
