Hi Shayla... I'm kind of wondering the same thing as Tameika. I've actually paid my debt off already, but I have charge offs on my credit report. I talked to a lawyer and he said I could call up the creditors and try to negotiate with them to delete them by paying them. I'm not really sure who I need to call at the credit card companies and what kind of verbage I need to use to get a good outcome. Could you help?

Also, I'd like to try to negotiate the collection accounts off my report... How would I go about doing that?

hello, 'Chere".....my advice ( from personal experience, anyway..) is to check your Credir Report and see when the SOL ( Statue of Limitations) is up, on this certian debt. Also.......on each debt you have, it will state, on the CR when the 'drop-off' date is. If this 'charge-off' is recent, you may just want to talk to the creditor. If the 'charge-off' is pretty old, you may just want to wait until it 'falls off.' In some states ( maybe all of them..) if you 'restart' an old debt, the SOL starts over. Does this make sense? I hope this advice helps.

The charge offs are all recent. And the debts are paid, so it wouldn't be me restarting an old debt because it's already paid. I want to negotiate that the "CO" tradelines are dropped off and replaced with a positive rating. My lawyer told me to negotiate with them and offer them money, if I needed to, in exchange for a positive rating... I'm just not really clear on what the best thing to say to them to negotiate this.
Also, is there a way to get the collection accounts removed?
