Thanks so much for the information, Do you think T & C that I read about on a different thread here, could help with my problems? DO they still work with Payday loans?

T&C does work with pdls. So does Langhorne. We can help you do this yourself, if you're up for it. If you're not up for it, then by all means, get a company to do the "dirty work" for you. Research whoever you decide to use though. Members here have used both T&C and Langhorne. But many of us did it ourselves. But it is work and it is stressful and you do have to put up with a lot of crap. So, basically it's up to you. Whatever is best for you. Whatever you decide, we will support you 100% and help you however we can. :D

Hey cannr, it's max. My account is closed and the calls have been numerous, to say the least. I have been so busy at work, and taking work home at night and on weekends, I have not sent any letters yet. I am trying to work on it right now, it's a little slow this morning. Do I send a letter to the unlicensed companies? Some of them I have paid more than the original loan, do I ask them to just call it even and leave me alone? Do I send email letters, or regular mail? I am afraid if I fax letters to them, they will fax stuff back to me and I don't want everyone at work seeing nasty letters from pdls. Thanks, Max.
Hi Max, I was wondering about you....Send letters to all of them
Hi Max, I was wondering about you....Send letters to all of them to cover your a$$ and so you have documentation for when you file with your state regulating agency. If you have over paid, you can ask for a pif and even ask for a refund. I got 3 refunds. They are few and far between but it can not hurt to ask. I sent mine certified return receipt, faxed and e-mailed them too...I know what you mean about the fax thing. Mine had a function where I could keep my fax number from going on the fax. You want to be sure you keep copies of everything you do. You want to use certified return receipt so you can prove they received. I saved all my information and had quite a package for the AG verifying my various attempts to resolve my situation with each company. Did we give you a letter to use?
Hey Roxy, yes I have the form letter. Are you saing that legall
Hey Roxy, yes I have the form letter. Are you saing that legally, all I have to re-pay is the original loan amount? One of them,Paragon Funding, all I have is a phone number, no address or fax. I think I will do them all certified mail, and not fax, I'm not sure our machine here has the ability to block the number like yours. I always save copies of everything I do. I have received a few emails, so I thought I would respond to them, plus send a certified letter.
I know I still have a long way to go, but last week when I got paid I was able to pay bills! I don't think I have ever been so excited to pay bills...haha!
Y'all are the best, I owe my newly re-gained sanity to you!

Max, the ones that are licensed you are going to have to work out payment plans for. I believe there were only two that were licensed in Texas. The ones that are not licensed, you only owe what you borrowed. I know what you mean by being excited about paying bills. It does feel good to pay bills...on time. :D

Hey Roxy, I'm working on these letters again today. I believe the licensed companies I am dealing with are Payday One, Texas Loan Corporation/TCL/Cash Central, and American Consumer Credit/The Cash Spot, am I right?
Now, on the licensed companies, if I have paid back enough fees to cover the principal, am I paid in full or do I have to keep paying? I'm still confused about that part.
Max, The licensed ones, even though you have paid enough in fee
Max, The licensed ones, even though you have paid enough in fees to cover the principal, you need to keep paying them. They are licensed and are legal so you need to work out a payment plan with them. I do not think the Cash Spot was licensed in TX. I thought they were licensed in DE. I have to go back throught your thread.
Thanks, Roxy, you and cannr have been such a blessing to me.

Hey gang, it's been a while, but I'm hanging in there. I have a question about the legal pdl's and want to make sure I understand correctly.
TLC - Texas Loan Corporation - Cash Central is legal in Texas, right? The original amount was $300. I refinanced three times for 101.20, 101.53 and 101.53 for a total of 304.26. The total payback if I paid per the contract is 401.53. So, does that mean I only owe them 97.27? They are calling me at work and on my cell constantly all day long, I have not talked to anyone yet. Thoughts from my peeps out there?

HI Max...good to see you. If they are legal you will need to work out a payment plan with them. They can keep charging you according to TX CSO regulations. Did you send them a letter suggesting a payment arrangement...if not talk to them and make what ever arrangements you can afford. Whatever you both determine, make them put it in writing and tell them you will not begin payments until you receive something in writing that way you are covered. I hope the rest is going well for you :D

Thanks Roxy, even though that isn't what I wanted to hear. I have tlaked to Payday One, I owe about 1200, and the least she would let me do is 200 for my next paydays, and that's just too much, how do I make them understand, or is that even possible?

WOW  ..You could buy a new car with that. MAx, my suggestion is this...send what you can...document it. The worst they can do is send you to collections or (and I do not know for sure they are done in Texas) garnish your wages..which you would have to go through court and then you will also have proof you have been trying to pay as much as you can to take care of your obligation. Another thing to try is to see who that person's boss is and go over her head...may work, may not...but send them something. I have read somewhere on this fourm that if you send them money and they accept it, they are agreeing to your terms. So send them a letter with payment in it and see what happens. Send it certified. I would hazard a guess they will not send it back.
Max, I have an email address for Paragon if you still need it.
Max, I have an email address for Paragon if you still need it. It is cheris@paragonfunding.net. I know this works because I sent them an email monday night and received a pif in the email the next day. Do you happen to have any contact info for American Consumer Credit? I only have a phone number but I would really like to get an address or email address or even a fax #.
Thanks! I hope this wasn't too late to help!!!
