Bank account nightmare

I went into the bank to close my account but they said that the ach's from the pdl's would force it open again so they put it to credits only. The problem is I checked it this morning and bam there is $600 worth of charges and that does not include the $39 fee they will charge for each one. What do I do??? I have been trying to log onto my account here but it will not let me is anyone else having problems.


I forgot to say that RoxyNY was helping me yesterday and had PM me some information and since I can't log on I can't get them. My user name is mjm43566. I thought I would be dealing with phone calls from the people today about defaulting on my loans instead I am dealing with the bank. I don't know what to do. I have my orginial post up here too. I was told that I am paying on a lot of accounts I should not be.

Just talked to my banks dda collection and they said because the bank did not put a hold all funds on the account the credits only came off within 24 hours. I need to get ahold of them and have them do it. Also they never had me sign affadvidits either so I have to do that. I just don't know what to do.

Mj, I am so sorry this is happening to you. I posted some information on your thread from yesterday. It is on page two..about the laws for debit blocking your account and about filing complaints against your bank. Print this off. Even if you can not remember your log on, you can go to the thread and print the information off. When you call the bank use the laws and the other information to get them to do what you want. Tell them you want the name of the regional manager for the bank, maybe he/she will know how to help you since apparently the branch manager can not. Call them if you have to. Tell them you are prepared to file a complaint with the OCC. Hopefully that will get their attention. Kash is right, you do need to go in person as soon as you can. I am going to bump you other thread to the top so you can find it and print the pages off that you need.

Thanks RoxyNy....I did get those things printed off of the thread. However I did save the letters that you sent me and now I can't get to them because I can't log in. Is there someone else I need to contact about the log in problem. I have been having it since last night.
