I had about 7 or 8 debts that were spread out over 7 years. Well I have paid them all off. My question is, when will this show up on my credit as paid?

if the PIF debts don't come off soon, you may want to get on line and 'dispute' the debts amount with the Credit Bureau. If you have proof of the PIF accounts, I would send them in. OR..maybe you can fax them to the CB. The CB should do an investigation and they will send you an 'updated' Credit Report. Hope this helps.

In my experiences, the collection accounts will still show as a negative when paid off unless the agencies agree to delete them when paid in full. It will show like a slow pay or a delinquency with a zero balance. Although it still helps to pay them off as it helps your debt to income ratio.

I am learning not to pay of a collection account until I have a written agreement from them stating that they will remove the account entirely or mark it paid in full and delete any negatives (past dues, etc).
