Okay, bugs. You reside in PA. I'm going to post the PA state pdl law for you. Let me point out; however, that in PA, if the pdl is licensed SOMEWHERE, PA will "allow" the pdl loan. If they are not licensed SOMEWHERE, they will not be considered a legal debt. So, let me post your state law, just so you can see it, but keep in mind, if some of your pdls are licensed SOMEWHERE, you will have to consider them legal loans and abide by the state law in which they are in. Okay? So let me post this and then we need to check and see which of your pdls are legal and which are not.

I have two dachshunds! :D They are both 7. Welcome to another doxie lover!

And, just because a pdl has an address in the states does NOT mean they are licensed/legal. Little Loan Shoppe just so happens to be one that is licensed. CashNetUSA is licensed in a lot of states. I'm checking the others because I believe a couple of them won't be licensed to lend.

Okay, bugs. Here's what we need to do. You will need to contact Little Loan Shoppe and CashNetUSA since they are licensed. Give them a call, shoot them an email, whatever. Tell them YOUR BANK closed your account (blame it on the bank). Tell them you need to set up an alternative payment plan with them. Not Money Gram or Western Union (that costs money). Ask for a mailing address where you can send money orders to. Deny having a bank account at all. As for the illegal ones, we do have a letter you can use to send them stating they are illegal, your state law, not to contact you via telephone, etc. I can post a copy of the letter for you to use as a "guide" to send to the illegal pdls. Let me look at your amounts paid. Hang on.

PaycheckToday
Borrowed 250/Paid 375/OVERPAID 125

PayDayLoanYes
Borrowed 260/Paid 240/OWE 20

Route 66
You owe them 60, but they keep taking 35? How much did you borrow (principle amount only) and how much have you paid back total so far? I'm sure you've overpaid them. They are sooooooooo illegal.

Please reference your loan contract the Loan Note & Disclosure

your

payment arrangements are for two (2) payments $160 due on 4-11-08 and

After doing research on internet payday loan laws in
the state of pennsylvania, I have found that your
internet payday loans are actually illegal. I have
also found the following laws to be true applying to
payday loans in the state of pennsylvania in general:
Pennsylvania State Information

Legal Status: Prohibited

Citation:
Check cashers are specifically prohibited from making payday loans under Check Cashing Licensing Act of 1998, ???? 505(a). Otherwise, consumer discount company act applies. 7 Pa. Cons. Stat. Ann. ???? 6201 et seq.

Small Loan Rate Cap
$9.50 per $100 per year discount or 24% per year

Where to Complain, Get Information:
Regulator: Pennsylvania Department of Banking
Address: Market Square Plaza, 17 N. Second Street Harrisburg PA 17101
Phone: (717) 214-8343
Fax: (717) 787-8773
Regulatory Contact: Jim Keiser Administrator of Non-Depository Institutions

I have contacted the pennsylvania Office of Financial
Institutions and the pennsylvania State Attorney
General's Office regarding your internet payday loans
and was informed they are indeed illegal in
pennsylvania and was advised to pay what is due
according to principle amount only of the loan.

I have currently paid 245 DOLLARS on my 200 DOLLARS
loan. The legal amount that could have been charged to
my loan is the principal amount of 260 DOLLARS even if
your internet pay day loan was legal in pennsylvania.
I have paid 245 DOLLARS on this loan by your debits of
my bank account and only owe 15 DOLLARS to have this
paid in full. I am willing to pay the amount of 15
DOLLARS to pay the principle amount of the loan only,
as advised by my Department of Financial Institutions
and my state Attorney General's office.

I demand a physical address to mail payments to, as
you are no longer authorized to debit my bank account.
You must provide me with a physical address to mail my
payments. I will not Money Gram or Western Union any
payment. If no physical address is provided for me to
mail payment to, no payment will be made.

I demand that any contact be made through US Postal
mail or email only. I will need everything in writing
to keep accurate records of all communication as per
instruction from my state Attorney General's Office.

I prohibit you or your affiliates to contact me via
telephone at my place of employment or my home
telephone number. I also prohibit you from calling my
references listed on my loan. Once I inform you of
this, you must stop the telephone contact immediately
or you will be once again breaking the laws of the
state of pennsylvaia.

You are also hereby notified that I am revoking any
voluntary wage assignment I may or may not have
signed. I no longer authorize you, your company, or
your affiliates to attach any part of my wages or
contact my employer for your collection purposes.

I am revoking your right to debit my checking account
any longer. You, your company, or your affiliates are
not authorized to debit my checking account at all.
Please be aware that I have informed my financial
institution of this situation and they will also be
receiving a copy of this correspondence. Any further
attempts at debiting my account will be rejected by my
financial institution.

I must also inform you that I have filed complaints
with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade
Commission, and my state Attorney General's Office.

I expect a response from your company no later than
4-11-08, regarding this matter. This response may only
come via US Postal mail or email. No telephone contact
is permitted.

bugs, Tim Atkins is a blow hard jerk. And these people are friggin insane. They want your credit card information???? Sure they do!!! They can't debit your bank account any longer, so - gee - give them your credit card information! Do these guys think you are that crazy??? Oh my God. bugs, send your original letter (again) as a response to both Karen Lamb and Tim Atkins. Send it over and over and over again. They are so disgusting. I'm sorry, but this just really pains me. Please, reply to their emails with your original letter only. Keep on sending it. If they respond, email it again.
