Mine is with BOA and hasn't been reopened by the ACH items. They sent me a notice of the ones that were returned, on 2-15, as account closed and there was no charge. I didn't get the notice on the 29th so I assume the PDL companies did not attempt to debit the account.

Wachovia will close an account with a 10-day "pending close" in which during that time you can have them put a hard debit block.

Hey VB Mom. . . .I too stayed with my bank, but it is a local bank, not a nationwide organization. I know that some of my "legal" ACH's hit, they were not honored and to best of my knowledge the account has not been re-opened. I would assume that my bank would have called me if it did.

Well, luckily I knew people at my bank and that gives me some security...but they did say that the old account is never tied to the new one, especially when there has been fraud...now I still look at my account everyday, and probably will for awhile...

I am still with Wachovia after putting stop payments on those pesky PDL's and I have been fine. Wachovia has been the greatest when it comes to assisting me with this nightmare I have had. I only have 2 more to go and I am free and clear!
