Then today i received another email from the same place, but different person stating that they have no record of me owing them any money and i have no balance due.

white, take the email with the "no balance due" and print it, save it, keep it, hoard it, plaster it on the walls!!! Take it and RUN with it! You have written documentation from this pdl that you owe nothing! Consider yourself paid in full by them and cross them off your list!
