This whole thing has sideswiped me and I hate how naive I am about this whole mess. I settled and paid the agency before my court date. I received the letter of satisfaction and was told I didn't have to attend the court date. I thought I was ok and therefore did not go to the court date. I now have a judgement showing on credit report. What did I do wrong and how can I fix this?

A few years back I had went into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and found out after I had filed I had a judgement against me, but it ended up getting included in my bankruptcy. Its still on 2 of 3 credit reports that I have. I was told I could get it removed but it is like jumping through hoops. I called the creditors attorney and he stated yeah I did receive your bankruptcy papers but your attorney will have to get it removed. But when I called the court house they said no the creditors attorney should have removed that once he received the paperwork-we never went to court. I filed a complaint/investigate with the 2 credit bureaus and waiting to see what my next move will be. I would also be interested on how to get this off.
