Re: Odd Phone Calls

Dear Mr. Burch,

I have been receiving calls from 1-800-202-3350 per my Caller ID for several months. You hang up as soon as the phone is answered. When I return a call to this number, I get a busy signal.

The calls are increasing in frequency to several times per day.

I have been notified by an lawyer to make a formal complaint to my local telephone provider, my state attorney general, the FTC, and the Do Not CALL Registry. I will report every call the same day I receive it. Furthermore, I am documenting all calls to include the date and time.

It is my understanding that you are in violation of of Public Laws 95-109 and 99-361 which is known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

All calls to my telephone must end immediately. If these calls do not end, you will be in violation of the Do Not Call List Act which states, ???????if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship, indeed, a company may not call a consumer????????regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry????????if the consumer has asked to be put on the do not call list."

CEASE and DESIST all calls to my phone number. I will be utilizing telephone recording devices in order to document any telephone conversations.

I am aware of numerous lawsuits against you in federal court for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as state and civil courts. I understand you have over 30 federal cases alone since 2004. Moreover, I, too will bring a law suit if the calls continue.

Sincerely,
