I have payday loans all online, and the one company I tried to pay off over a month ago, but when you call the number listed you have to leave a message for someone to call you back. I am at work during the day so I emailed them the request to please take to $200 out of my account, instead they have continually taken $40 every week, and have since November 17, 2007. At this point and time I have over drawn my checking account because I can never balance my account and I don't know what to do. They keep calling me at work and I have sent them email request to quit calling me at work and two receptionist have told them not to call. What should I do?

BIG Borrowed $200 So far paid $40 a week since November 17,2007
Pay Day Max Borrowed $500 Paid $50 on loan a week for 4 weeks plus $38 in fees a week so total $352
Think Cash Borrowed $750 Have pd total of $1105.56 and still owe $464

I received another phone call at work just now!!! :x This lady I could barely understand and I told her I didn't understand what she was saying to me, but I tried to explain to her that I am finished paying and that I have paid over $600 for a $200 loan and I requested that they not call the work number listed ever again.

I just got off the phone with a Rose Smith from BIG. I could not understand what she was trying to tell me and I exspessed that to her and she just kept talking. So I'm not sure if I need to do. I tried to make her understand that on a $200 loan they have taken over $600 out of my checking account and I am finished with them. I am just tired of being harrassed and I also requested four times in the conversation that BIG never call my work number again. I also asked for paperwork showing what they cliamed I owed and what I had paid and she then finally hung up.

Actually, they will continue to debit that bank account! FOREVER! I say don't speak to them either, as it's a waste of your time. However, you need to get that account CLOSED/BLOCKED that these pdls have your information on. BIG will debit you until you are well into the thousands. Believe me. They will not stop. Now, I do know that Think Cash is an installment loan and you will need to contact them and make other payment arrangments to get them paid off. PayDayMax, I'm unsure of. We can check on them for you. I'm going to post something regarding closing your bank account. Please read this and post any questions. We can help you. I will also post your Virginia state pdl law for you. Remember, Think Cash is not a pdl. They do not follow this law. Also remember, BIG is as illegal as you can possibly get.

Okay- I am following all the advise I have been given. I actually contacted the BBB about BIG and gave them all the information reguarding the amount I borrowed the amount I have paid so far. Will they help? I have also contacted Think Cash to try to pay off the remaining amount in two payments. Does anyone know anything about Pay Day Max.

as far as BIG goes,no they are in the UK.do not talk to them if you can help it.talking to them only encourages them, they can do nothing but call.they will eventually give up,if getting called at work will be an issue talk to your boss, because they will ask to speak to him.i do not know about the other two, somebody should be along to further assist.

Regarding BIG, I'm glad you filed with the BBB. However, I can not stress the importance of filing with the FTC against them (www.ftc.gov). You can file a complaint on line. Please, please do this. And, also you need to file a complaint with your state attorney general regarding them. I can not stress the importance of the FTC though. Please file with them. The BBB will probably not be a big help, as BIG will most likely not respond to them. Hell, they won't respond to the state attorney general. However, the FTC is VERY interested. Let me check on Pay Day Max for you. Hang on.

PayDayMax is as illusive as the day is long. I had filed with the NJ BBB on them and it came back with insufficient info. I immediately fired off an addendum to my first complaint which was not so "kind" as the first. Haven't heard anything from them yet. After I got my one and only phone call from CPD, I faxed a copy of my C and D letter to Mr. Reed and I haven't heard anything from them again either but it's only been 3 weeks. They were refusing my emails as well, but the last two I sent, which was on Wednesday and Thursday, have not come back to me. God I hate these people.

cannr. . .they are just so strange and unpredictable. One day they refuse my emails, the next day they accept them. I wish they would hit a "gee, your account is paid in full" day. I would be on that so fast they wouldn't know what hit them. Not for anything, seems like the only one who has anything going for them is ameriloan. A complaint to the BBB and that was over and done with in a heartbeat. But then again, I am sure someone on here has had a hell of a time with them, which just confirms my theory that it depends on the day and the mood they are in.

I am having a hard time with the bank...they told me I can't close my account until it is at a $0 balance and the way the pdl companies are debiting that will be never. Pay Day Max is debiting $25 for return charge, $36 interest and $50 about everyother day. I am sending a cease and desist letter to them to stop debiting my account and to stop calling work and home. Is that all I need to send them?

becky, kash is soooo right. Is the reason the bank is giving you a hard time closing the account because it's in the negative? If that is the case, have them put the hard debit block on that kash posted above. They can put a hard debit block on it to prevent any debits from hitting any longer - which will also prevent the bank from adding their NSF fees to the account. Can you go to the bank, speak to the manager, and have them put a hard debit block on the account? Tell them you are aware that you do have a negative balance and you will get it back to the positive; however, in the meantime you need a hard debit block put on. Is this possible for you to do?

I am going to try to get to the bank tomorrow, I talked to the bank yesterday and they told me to come in and they would freeze my account. So at least that will be taken care of. I have also filed my complaints with the BBB and the FTC about the PDL companies.

becky, great job in filing your complaints! :D Let the bank freeze the account. At least this way, you won't get those stupid NSF fees from these idiot pdls! You will need to open a new account so that you will have a "working" bank account. Our suggestion is to go to a different bank and open one. It's just usually safer to go to a completely different bank. Call us paranoid regarding pdls!
