I am having a problem with Emerald Marketing Group. I had a loan with them for $300 on which I paid back $505. They now want an additional $250 and told me today they will call me every day at work until I pay it. They are not a collection agency but have in-house collectors. Can anyone help?

What are they charging for?? You had a loan of $300 and you have paid them back $505 and the loan was closed, right! If so then they can't charge you whatsoever. This is outrageous!! :x

First of all , what state do you live in so we can get the laws for you.
When did you have this loan, and when did you pay the 05.00. Was this to pay off your loan or was this what you have paid in fees. we can help you sort this out.

They are doing the same thing to us. We got a loan and said to take it out in full on payday and since april 2008 till now 8-2008 they keep taking money out or our account and saying that thats the interest, 90.00 every payday for months when we said take it out in full on payday. this is ridiculous, we've complained with BBB and we are going to our bank to do an investigation on them. We didnt authorize a bunch of payments, now there are garnishing my husbands wages, I'm gonna sue them, cause this is B.S.
