You can try to dispute the entry with the credit bureaus, but there is no sure fire way to remove accurate and timely information from a credit report. If disputing for one reason does not work, then try another reason.

Did they repo and sell it; or did you pay them to get the car back. Makes a difference how they report.
If you got the car back, it really should be reported as a "redeemed repossession", which is still a bad mark but has a little less overall impact (since it shows you took care of it without them having to sell it).
Either way, they are allowed to report the fact that the car was repossessed even if you paid it off. Albeit they should be reporting a closed/zero balance.
If they are reporting accurately, there's not much you can do other than dispute like Morningstar said.
Car Repo
Is there a letter that can be sent to the creditor asking for their help in removing the redeemed repossession. My car was repo'd for less than $2000 and it was mostly late fees because we thought the account was paid in full and we did not recieve any letters or calls from them. The repo company just showed up 4 months after our last payment. Our account should show them that we were never that far behind.
Do a search for Goodwill letters. How long ago was the Repo?
