I posted my situations months ago. Sorry to repost, but I want consumers to know that if the collection agency hounding you is a junk debt buyer - more than likely you can beat them in court, and, if you look hard enough you will likely uncover some fdcpa violations which entitles you to sue them. Junk debt buyers frequently make mistakes so it pays to look - and - they typically cannot validate the debts they claim to own.

I recently went to court over a very old debt, bought by MCR Recievables, a junk debt buyer. They were suing me but when I demanded dv they could not produce & their case was dismissed with prejudice (at my request). I had to go to court 3 times, but it was worth it.

On another very old debt, First National Collection Bureau, another junk debt buyer, made a false statement, sending a letter that said they won a judgement against me & I should accept their special settlement offer. There was no judgement. I sued them & I just got my check today for $2,500.

Just wanted to share & give hope to some who may be feeling hopeless here!
