Can a CA add something to a credit report after the SOL has expired and the OC never placed the item on the Credit Report?

Have an old HFC Line of Credit (DOLA between 11/00-2/01) they never placed the item on the credit report. Now a collection agency is reporting the debt. I have not received anything in regards to this debt even though the address on the credit report is accurate.

I don't think so..and if they are doing so they are actually violating the FCRA law. Send them the DV letter and ask them to validate the loan. Most likely they'll fail to do so.
