Well I just found out the Welman Weinberg and Reis have filed a compalint against me in county court. I have not recieved the summons yet. I was told the complaint was filled at the end of February and the date is set for November. What can I do? This is a debt that I owe, but I can't afford to make a huge payment right now. Any suggestions?

How did you find out that you are being sued?

Check with the court to see if they show Proof of Service?

Send the Lawyer a debt validation letter and make them prove the debt and their ability to collect on this date. Certified return receipt.

Then if they don't when you get to the Discovery phase of the case you can request Validation again and when they again fail you can use that in court and get a dismissal.

Or you can contact the collector and attempt to arrange a payment plan. Just don't agree to anything without seeing it in writting and signed, with a legible name.

I received an offer (on Company Letterhead) that was signed in a scribble but had no name printed on it so I did not know who was making the offer.
