I was told that i could go to jail for insufficient funds on a online payday loan. Is this true?

In a word - no. You cannot be arrested for defaulting on a payday loan. The most any payday lender could do is take you to court and try to obtain a judgement against you - but if you are dealing with an internet lender, there's a chance they may not even be operating legally in your state. (For them to threaten jail time over a defaulted PDL is enough to make me think they're probably not legal - legal companies don't threaten things they know they can't do!)

Why don't you take a moment and list out the following info, so we can give you some advice on how to get out of this:

-state you live in
-names of all payday lenders
-whether they are internet or storefront loans
-how much you borrowed
-how much you have repaid (including any fees and interest)

With that info, we can help you out!

This was from payuday max I owe 492.92 and only borrowed 190.00 I will pay the 190.00 but no more they kept rollingo ver the loan even when I had called them and told them that my account had been closed. When I borrowed my account was open and I had to close it before the first payment, becasue of other payday loans that were over drafting me. i have paid some off but still owe some and am trying but I can only handle one at a time.
This one though is demanding I pay half and i wont have it. I can pay only like 50.00 a paycheck.
I still have some payday loans that I have been keeping until I can get some of these others paid and then I will lower those until I oay them off.
