Have anyone ever heard of the company above in the subject line. Well, that is what they say they are. I took out several payday loans in 2005 and they are trying to collect. They keep calling my job and I have asked them not to call me at my job again. They will not tell me who the payday loan is from. They will not tell me their address or the amount I owe. They just kept saying am I going to take care of this matter now. I told them I have no paperwork and nothing was sent to my residence. They told me they have no paperwork. Well, I called them back and asked for their address because I was going to sue them and their company. While I was talking to some guy and letting him know I will pay $50. I was not refusing to pay. They hung the phone up on me. How am I suppose to pay someone and I don't have any information. Yes, I did get the loan and not refusing to pay. I just need more information. I am not giving my bank information to them. I live in NC but the payday loans was not local. They were done online. Please help!

They are just another of the bad lot :( You definitely need more information before setting out the repayment plan. Next time when they will call up just tell them that you're going to send the the DV letter and need their mailing address.

They're just exerting pressure to collect money from you. Please don't freak out and hit the panic button. According to fdcpa, the CAs can't threat to sue you until and unless they're actually going to do so.

Hey tweety, according to the OP the CA isn't giving it address or number. What's he gonna do in that case?? These collection agencies are not so easy to deal with. I myself have faced the same problem. They leave messages in your answering machine but whenever you call up they behave rudely. :x

If it is legal in your state I would record the conversation where they are refusing to give you any information. If they don't have the information, they are not going to take you to court and if they do take you to court, what are they going to prove with no paperwork. Send a DV letter if you can get an address.

They will not give me an addreess so I wouldn't know where to send the VD to. Also, someone said if they can not validate debt then you do not owe debt. Plain and simple. They have to give me some sort of documentation in order to collect on
this. They have not done this. All they are doing is calling my work number.

Guest is the number you received your calls from 410-505-8128? Check out my post on that number here. Have they given you a specific number to call back on..before sending any money be sure you owe this debt. There are other numbers these scammers are using..type their phone number in your browser and see what happens...I think you will find this is just another scam.

Guest if you put that number in your browser you will find a site called 800notes. This number is on there and it has many posts from people who have received the same call as you. Check it out and you will see this is just a scam. Next time they call tell them you know it's a scam and you are reporting it to the local law enforcement and the FBI.
