mshirley...I work with Special Ed as well. Isn't it a very rewarding job? You can send a cease and desist letter but it is no guarantee that they will stop calling. I had one call my home and my cell phone once. After I sent a copy of that letter to the collecting arm, they called me back to play lets make a deal. Refresh my memory, who is calling again? Is it the actual PDL or is it a collection arm?

mshirley....wait, isn't it Pay Day Max and Capital Recovery Associates? If is is, send the C and D letter to PayDayMax, and if you haven't already, read the blurb I have posted on your first thread. Capital Recovery Associates may or maynot have a reason to be calling you. I have never heard anyone on this board connect them to any PDL. I know it's frustrating and the fear of them calling is unbelievable but get a letter to them ASAP. I drafted mine and sent it in an email. To be honest with you, I don't think I ever sent a hard copy. It was all done via the net. I have settled with Pay Day Max and it was pretty painless. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be two of us on here who have been dealt with the same way by any of these yahoos. Please keep us posted.

In the past, I had PDL's call me at work, too. I din't work in the office..I worked in the 'field'. When ONE of them called, they insisted on telling my boss everything about my loan, personal information, etc. My boss told them if they called again, the company would file Harrassment charges. Maybe you can consider that ( talking to your boss, I mean..) MSHIRLEY. I don't know how they would feel about that, however. Just some advice.

If nothing else, you can always tell your employer (just to save yourself some embarrassment and/or threat of losing your job) that some illegal companies got ahold of your information via the internet and are now harrassing you. Tell them you are in the process of getting it taken care of. At least it might calm them a little if the calls continue.

After telling them to stop calling,Keep a log. if they continue calling bring them to justice.
Most likely you can bring them to small claims court and charge all costs and fees to them. If they do not show up you are automatically awarded judgement. Then you can call them asking where your judgement is!
