Hello Everyone,

I am 24 years old and engaged. I have accumulated about $24,000.00 of credit card debt and unfortunately things have gotten way too out of control for me to continue trying to save this sinking ship. I have called a company by the name of 800 Credit Card Debt and spoke to them about a settlement process in which I would be taken care of by an attorney during the whole settlement process. Everything sounded pretty reasonable but I am still reluctant to follow through with it until i have a group of individuals tell me that the company checks out and that this is my best option. Can someone please help me, i have no where else to turn to for advise......

P.S. Sorry for the poor grammar but I typed this as fast as I could.

I would probably check out a different company. I checked out the BBB website and they rated this company as an "F" Here is what they say about "F" rated companies

Quote:

F We strongly question the company????????s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law????????s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company????????s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

Please check out this website and it will tell you the whole report on this company.

Before you sign with any company check the BBB site and see if they have any complaints. But first I would ask your states Department of Financial Institutions for a list of companies that are licensed to do business in your state, then pick one out and check them out with the BBB, you can even call your states DFI to see if they have any complaints against them.

I am glad that you came here before you signed any papers with this company.
