I have a bank account at wells fargo, does anyone know if ....

1. They will do a blanket block of all debits?

2. If I close my account and open another one, in two weeks when the next batch of payday loans are due, will they force it open?

I am going with oakview so does anyone know if once they send out the letters will they stop trying to hit my account?

Thank you all very much. It is so hard knowing what to do with the bank account.

Wells Fargo is impossible to work with. It took a letter from my attorney to get them to close my account and stop re-opening it.

Personally, I think it's because they like the PDL's. Wells Fargo made $680 from NSF fees AFTER I had initially requested the account to be closed. I will never do business with them again.

I bank at WF also and have not had any problem. when i knew i had to close my acct. i went and told the manager the whole sorid story. since my acct. at that time was OD i couldn't close it, but he did put a hard block on it until i got paid and could then close the acct. He opened a new one for me at that time and kept the block on the new acct. They do keep asking me everytime i go in if i want the block kept on the acct. I tell them yes and they have no problem with it. Though I check my acct. everyday online just to make sure my money is still in there.

I don't have WF, but..BOY..seems like their reputation isn't good. Thanks for the 'tip' everyone.

Wells Fargo is interesting . . . I say this and yet I bank with them, go figure. I saw the documentary film "Maxed Out" awhile back, and they talked about WF's involvement in the payday loan business. FYI--A lot of the so called "mom and pop" payday loan storefronts are actually owned by WF. A nasty business, IMHO.
