Credit card issues now due to PDL issue, snowball!

Gang, due to the PDL mess I'm in now my credit cards are falling behind. Only a month so far...Here's my question. I'm going today to CCCS for some advise and the "plan" that my husband and I have come up with is to let the credit cards go one more month and finish paying off the PDL's and then start a dmp with the credit cards. I've never gotten more than a month behind before on my payments, so I'm wondering do you think besides the phone calls I'll get that for one more month I'll be ok with not paying the credit cards? Does this make sense? A friend at work told me she was many months past due when she started her DMP and everything turned out ok....Thanks Reny

UPDATE, I had my appt today with CCCS, I did NOT like the councelor at all. A friend of mine told me about a place called Money Mangement a few weeks ago and I also saw a couple of posts here about them...Anyway,I dicided to call them to see if they could help. The gal was SOOO nice and helpful, I told her the entire UGLY story....She is sending me some information to look over, I'm really glad I made that phone call!!! This is the first time in a long time I've felt like it just might work out! She even offered some advise about the PDLs, which the local office did not, that girl just looked at me like "Loser" I left their office in tears.....And came straight home and called Money Mangement:)
