I have one online pdl (webpayday) who is threatening to turn me over to 3rd party collections and seek involuntary methods of recouping the money. Also, they are threatening to turn me into chexsystems. What exactly is chexsystems and can they actually do that since there was no check that actually secured the loan? There was no nsf, either. The bank sent info that per my request, the draft was blocked. The lady that called yesterday said that she "received new information this past Friday and all who have blocked their accounts will have their money debited on an involuntary basis, and that they will contact the bank to make sure this is done." !!! :shock:

Please help me understand more about chexsystems and if they really can turn me in.

Only Banks can report to Chexsystems. Only FDIC insured accounts can be reported. So the pdl cannot report you to Chexsystems.

Thanks. I kind of wondered how they could do that, being that I didn't actually write them a check. So far I haven't heard from little loanshop, ashland funding, or discount advances (except for a nastygram saying that they may turn me into the fbi for fraud investigation...not sure where that comes from, and it sounds like a scare tactic), but I am nervous about what may happen. The only thing I know is that I do not have the $230 to send to webpayday tomorrow. I only have $75 and the person I spoke with said they are not willing to accept it.

These people are ridiculous. It's either all or nothing. Which doesn't make any sense whatsoever!! You are correct about turning over to the fbi..it's just a scare tactic.

loanshop will do nothing. How much have you paid to the Loan Shop? If you have overpaid them send them a letter asking for a refund and tell them that you are filing a complaint with attorney general's office, FTC and the BBB you will get a quick answer. If you have not overpaid them, they are not license so the loan is illegal.PDLS report you to telecheck which means you won't be able to get another lon online!

Hi lmk, whiterock, and spanisheyes. This whole thing is ridiculous. If I had $230 growing in my back yard, of course I would send it to them!!! Just to be rid of them. I know I owe them money and I intend to pay the LEGAL amount, but I am not going to get myself tied back into the system to do it. NO WAY! I have been through hell with this. I have been at this game for quite sometime and it makes me sick to know how much I have spent. Robbing Peter to pay Paul! No more. They can just wait. I want to pay my lights, water, and rent, and of course eat! I hope they do report me to telecheck so I will never be tempted to get another pdl. On a good note, I paid off two of the storefront pdls this past monday. Yay! Just have the ipdls to go. I have paid $85 of a $200 loan to loan shop. Unfortunately, I have paid nothing to webpayday. They were a last ditch desperate effort to save myself. Then I found this wonderful site and figured out that the only one who was going to save me was my higher power, myself, and alot of nerve! :-)
I figure if we all hang in there, we will make it through just fine.
Does anyone know anything about ashland funding? I also have an ipdl with them.
