Thanks KashZ and oas always, my loyal cannr. :)
I was up until 3 am last night filing complaints with the BBB on Impact Cash, Total Lending,UCL. I'd filed one previously on AIP. Got 2/12 hours sleep and now it's time to go to work.
I got the hang of the BBB advanced search and came up with the same addresses you all did, but thanks much because it's a good checkpoint that you got the same results.
I asked for a MASSIVE refund on AIP. On IC, TL nas UCL, I asked the loan be marked "paid in full" and a few other things like a written apology for disregarding the laws of my state, not contacting me etc. I reasoned that while I normally would feel morally obligated to pay the principal, in these cases I felt that the only way these companies were going to learn to be liscenced and follow state laws was that if they didn't, they would LOSE money, not break even at best. MY ESL is not due until 4-18, so I have a little time to file on them.
Don't know if it will do any good, but it was cathartic nonetheless.
Further research last night revealed how EVIL United Cash Loans, aka MTE, aka Ri Resources is. WOW!!! They are taking amounts above and beyond the stated amounts out of people's accounts. UNBELIEVABLE. I have a feeling they may be my biggest nemesis, not AIP. Yikes..
I emailed Vikas twice, but still haven't heard anything about the username/password problems. Got to run, or I'll be late.
Oh, I talked to our receptionist and she said she would put all outside calls through to my voice mail, so it won't ring. But if they ask for anyone else to get around it, she/they will have no way of knowing who's calling.

I really feel for you, having to deal with United Cash Loans. They are nasty and they really have ways of dancing around the truth when they call, don't they? The other day in their "daily" phone call, I said (again) that PDL's were prohibited in Maryland. They had the NERVE to tell me they weren't a PDL company! They said they were going to keep calling me every day, I said fine, I'd start hanging up on them every day.
By not paying the company's back the principle amount borrowed,
By not paying the company's back the principle amount borrowed, you are not doing good. That gives these companies reason to charge high prices, and gives them facts they can use with lawmakers to show that they need to charge such high interest.
It's not teaching them a lesson, it's actually working against us.
Plus, if you at least pay back the principle you are protecting yourself against any possible legal ramifications that could come about because of the loans.
You should always pay back at least what you borrow.

Goudah - I am not familiar with all the rammifications here so please bear with me. You make a good point, although I'm not sure I entirely agree with you when they lend under false and ellegal pretenses. Anyway, where I was coming from was in negotiation, people always high-ball and low-ball, that's the way everyone plays the game unfortunately, and that's certainly the way these guys play it.
I did ask very pointed questions in this regard about what was truely owed - both morally and legally in another post entitled : "I've closed my bank account, so now...". I was very specific and detailed but don't have those answers yet. I was up VERY LATE filing these complaints last night so I got kind of punchy and may have gone overboard a little bit.
It's cool . . . I just wanted to make the point that not paying
It's cool . . . I just wanted to make the point that not paying and "screwing" those companies actually ends up screwing the consumer in the bigger picture.
I'll go take a look at your other thread and tell you exactly what you would legally owe . . .

G - The other thing besides it being way too late, I was reading about what United Cash Loans was doing to be people, debiting their accounts way over and above what was agreed to and about how many complaints they have, as well as their collection tactics - and it just ENRAGED ME in general.
