I have a debtor trying to renew a judgement against me after 10 years. Is there any way I can appeal this myself or submit a motion to vacate? I have less than 30 days and apparently they can renew this judgement every 10 years, however I believe the only reason they decided against me was because I was not in court. Ultimately I would like the issue re-heard by a judge...thanks in advance for any ideas.

The time to appeal a judgment is limited by the state's civil code of procedures (IIRC it is 180 in the state of California), and so far as I can tell, a renewal is more of an administrative function than it is judicial:

    this is the original judgment
this is it's date of entry
this the amount of principal due
this is the amount of interest due

then
    here is the renewed judgment
here is the new balance due
