whiterock....
I have a 16 yr old too...working on the driving thing. I take him out and let him drive on the country roads and he occasionally scares the living crap right out of me - but for the most part, he does well. Getting a license in this state is no longer an easy process for a teen driver. It's a long, expensive ordeal for both parent and teen -mostly the parent, though!
My 20-yr-old has failed the driving test 3 times and still doesn't drive. I think she doesn't want to, for whatever reason. The 16-yr-old, on the other hand, can't wait!
my son couldn't wait either...kept saying that it is all common
my son couldn't wait either...kept saying that it is all common sense (in one respect he is right) but on the other hand he "can't see past his nose" Doesn't listen to me when i tell him to drive the speed limit. says it is ok to drive 5MPH over the speed limit. NOT WHEN ONE IS DRIVING IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. He will not listen to me..SO it has come down to learing the hard way. either play by the rules and pass or go it on you own and fail..
