Im being sued by a credit card company.What letters do you recommend I use to give me the best way to get them to settle for an affordable amount that I can pay?Is there a letter that would make them prove that I signed the original contract?

Does that mean that you can't remember whether you owe them in actuality or not? I'm lost!! A little more explanation might help me to understand the scenario better. Do correct me if I've read you wrong.

I cant really remember.Im looking to get somewhere when its time to negotiate.The law firm doesnt want to budge.They say the creditor will only settle for 80- 85 % of the debt.Half the debt is interest and late fees.Right now I cant afford the interest a month.I would like to put this behind me but I cant find a way out.
